Wwii German Elite RingThis ring si made from silver as far as i know but it doesn't display such markings on the inside. As you can see from the photo, its a personal ring from a person who was in an elite regiment. It has wording on both sides which is as follows-. On the left side meineehre on the right hand side saysheibt treue. On the inside of the band there is a marking that says d. R. G. M. And a number 2 oevr a letter m. I have looked this mark up adn i understand it stands for deutsches reich gebrauchsmuster german reich regsitered design. I bouhgt this ring several years ago from an american serving officer, who at the time was assigned to the pentagon. He told me it was his fathers, who was a normandy veteran, but he did not know if he returned from the war with it or had got it by some other means.
