Up for auction is an original wwii german g33/40 mountain carbine stock. The 33 1/2 long stock is in nice, used. Condition, with some minor wear and light sanding. There is also a round inlet to the right side below hte action for a coin or id disc that is now missing- see pics.
There is also an original heer (army) helmet decal period affixed by the veteran to the right side of the buttstock. The original waffenamts are visible to the right side of the buttstock, although the helmet decal is tsuck on top of the markings- waa63 is clearly visible immediately below the decal. The serial number 751 is stamped inside the barrel channel, along with the number 6773 furhter up, perhaps indicating reissue. The stock is made of three finger jointed sections, which was unique to the later production rifles. The stock has not been modified frmo it's original military configuration. None of the stock metal (except teh recoil lug) or handguard are included.
This stock would eb correct for a czech made dou or dot 1940- '42 marked g33/40. These rifles were issued to germna mountain troops & paratroops during the early to mid war period.
